Richard Madeley came under fire for his comments on today's Good Morning Britain.

The 65-year-old broadcaster fronted Monday's edition of the ITV news programme alongside Susanna Reid.

It was the first time the I'm A Celebrity contestant had anchored the show for two weeks and he opened the programme with a scathing criticism of the government.
