ITV Good Morning Britain viewers stunned by nude model as they tell Ben Shephard off for 'smutty' chat

Good Morning Britain viewers weren't expecting to see a nude bloke, albeit with his modesty covered, on screen when they tuned in to the latest show. The ITV news programme was back on air on Thursday morning (July 28) with Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh.

As well as discussing the latest news headlines, including the start of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the hosting pair were also joined by nude model Adrian throughout the programme, as a group of elderly guests gathered to draw him.

Adrian stood in the studio posing completely naked with only a Good Morning Britain sign protecting his modesty. It comes after residents at Care UK’s Sherwood Grange in Kingston Vale, London, took part in an art session with a nude model last week with an aim to help boost mental health and wellbeing.

Introducing the model, Ben said: "We're very excited this morning because we have a life drawing class happening in the studio, you can see the students studying our model's form - this is Adrian, who is joining us in the studio."

Ranvir went on to say: "There is a lovely art school who have decided that people who live in care homes should be doing this sort of thing.

"It's because it's is excellent for one's mental health according to psychology and I think it's perked everyone up in the studio already," she added, prompting a laugh from fellow presenter Sean Fletcher "I’ve just got the giggles," he said while weatherman Alex quipped: "I hope it’s not cold in the studio this morning."

When Ben asked if Adrian was mic’d up, Ranvir replied: "We don’t know where we’d put the mic." Ben then joked: "They wear them on Love Island and it’s not like that."

Adrian kept his pose throughout but the presenters were still concerned about the studio temperatures. "I am fine, it’s perfect modelling conditions," the model insisted as Ranvir then warned: "If you were to move you’d upset them." Adrian then replied: "Hopefully they’ve got a good view back there."

But the whole thing left GMB viewers divided. @HelenPayne3 complained: "Come on @GMB surely there are more important issues to discuss than life drawing? The sniggering and giggling is juvenile and I want the world news not this."

Not all viewers were impressed (ITV)

@FionaBoss said: "Thought I had switched on to a Carry on film this morning with all the comments, not really what I want to see on breakfast TV." @Briantolley10 argued: "This program is definitely not good for your mental health at this time in a morning. And you wounder why you can't get important guests to come on. Leave this nonsense to naked attraction."

@ScottGreengrass shared: "I think it’s horrible seeing his hairy armpits and what’s down below is probably even worse. Not for me thank you." @JamesDawson911 fumed: "#GMB ffs that model naked is disgusting."

While @stephanieoram1 laughed: "#gmb I couldn’t think of anything worse than sketching a naked mole rat in the morning, I’d rather have a nice cup of coffee." @old_sjok commented: "Fantastic concept to encourage good health." @DanBurgess01 added: "The most British of reactions from everyone in the studio. It’s hilarious."

Others were quick to tell Ben off for his line of questioning towards Adrian and his drawers. @EmilyMulti fumed: "Ben trying to draw as much smut out of this as possible. Is he 12? Childish and quite frankly a bit disrespectful!! Pathetic #GMB."@@anniebev6 echoed: "Ben always has to bring smut into everything #gmb."
