Former rugby professional Rob Burrow appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday alongside his wife Lindsey to speak about his book titled 'Too Many Reasons To Live'. Known as one of the most famous Rugby League players of all time and the "smallest player in the Super League" at just 5 ft 5 inches, Rob spent 16 years in the game before retiring in 2017.
Tragically in 2019 Rob was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and given just 2 years to live. But two and a half years on, he is continuing his fight to survive and has set out to inspire people to live their lives to the fullest.
Now confined to a wheelchair, Rob is able to communicate through an eye-driven device and is cared for full-time by his wife Lindsey. His interview with hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard had ITV viewers in tears as they hailed the sporting star a 'true inspiration'.

As presenter Kate asked where Rob gets his strength to carry on from, he said: "I had no idea how I was going to feel about my diagnosis, I shocked myself how I could be so positive about this, especially when there is no cure.
"But the outpouring of support I have received since my diagnosis has given me strength to remain upbeat and positive."
In 2020 Rob was appointed MBE in the 2021 New Years Honours List for his services to Rugby League and the Motor Neurone Disease community.
During the interview the former professional had some words of wisdom for viewers, which saw Kate Garraway almost tearing up herself.
"I hope people take from my book to focus on the six inches that is in front of your face. I had no idea what was about to happen to me," Rob said.
"Enjoy life because it is so precious and you never know what's around the corner."
Taken aback, Kate said: "It is so true. Oh my goodness it is so moving just hearing you say that."
Good Morning Britain viewers were also left emotional as they took on the sporting star's inspiring words.
"Just watching Rob Burrows being interviewed about his journey with MND I am overcome with emotion at his bravery , dignity and the huge smile on his face . What an inspiration. Make every day count," wrote one viewer.
"Rob burrows. What an absolute inspirational guy he his. Even when his life has been shattered by Motor Neurone disease, he still smiles his day away. If you are having a bad day, you just need to look at Rob for inspiration," said another.
