Good Morning Britain viewers were soon asking questions when they turned on the show on Monday (June 20). Those tuning into the ITV news programme are used to seeing Susanna Reid at the helm alongside a male presenter which has mainly been Richard Madeley.
However, on this morning's show, Richard was joined by Ranvir Singh with Susanna nowhere to be seen - and with 'no explanation'. The 51-year-old is usually seen hosting the show from Monday through to Thursday but she didn't appear on last Thursday's show (June 16) as Kate Garraway returned with Adil Ray.
But as Richard, 66, and Ranvir, 44, kicked off the latest edition of the show, neither of them mentioned Susanna's absence - leaving viewers questioning where she was and when the TV favourite would return.
@anniebev6 asked: "Is Susanna on her Jollie's today #gmb." @SnappingSandwe1 tweeted: "#gmb hasn’t anyone told susanna reid that there are no #RailStrikes today! There are no school hols. So what excuse will they give for her no show?"
@katsitter commented: "Ok..where's m'Reid? Double checked, it's Monday, don't think it's school hols yet.. I'm all discombob'd! Ranvir's great, not that but is Susanna ok? It's definitely Mon& not Fri isn't it or have I slept through the week, missed my birthday & probably sacked?!" Another said: "Where is Susanna? Feels weird that neither Richard or Ranvir explained where she is."
"Why is this not a normal GMB Monday with Susanna presenting with Richard," a viewers also asked as another said: "It had to be said GMB, truly hope Susanna is ok, this is normally not like her."
Ranvir, however, is no stranger to the show and is regularly seen stepping in for Susanna and Kate as well as appearing on the panel to read the latest news healines. She previously acted as political editor on GMB, but stepped back from the role in February.
Ranvir first joined GMB in 2014 and was promoted to political editor in 2017. The former Strictly Come Dancing star is often seen stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her morning show, the most recent occasion being in April during the Easter break.
