Martin Lewis has issued a scam warning to UK households.

The finance guru fronted today's edition of Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid. The Money Saving Expert is fronting the ITV news programme on Mondays to issue financial advice to people amid the cost-of-living crisis.

The government has announced households across the UK will receive a £400 payment to help with soaring energy bills. However, Martin warned viewers to be be vigilant as scammers claiming to be from the government are messaging people about the payment.
