ITV Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls and Susanna Reid dance to 'bye bye Boris' as song blasts out during broadcast

Ed Balls and Susanna Reid quickly stopped busting some moves live on Good Morning Britain when they realised exactly what the song was saying. The pair were back fronting the ITV news programme on Wednesday (July 6) but there was a bit of a change.

The co-hosts ditched their usual ITV studio to head to Westminster following Tuesday night's drama within the government. Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak's resignation has rocked No.10 with similar exits following throughout the evening and into today (Wednesday).

Mr Sunak and Mr Javid both quit their positions, as Chancellor and Health Secretary respectively, with both suggesting they no longer had confidence in Boris Johnson's government and plans moving forward, particularly surrounding the cost of living crisis.

While the Prime Minister said he was 'sorry' to see them both leave in separate response letters, both former ministers were swiftly replaced with Nadhim Zahawi promoted to be the new Chancellor and Steve Barclay becoming Health Secretary.

More exits, however, are threatening to force Mr Johnson out of No 10 and Ed and Susanna were on hand to bring viewers the latest fallout, which included the resignations of Will Quince MP and Laura Trott, the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Department of Transport.

But as they were hosting the mid-week edition of GMB outside the House of Parliament which is a hive of activity this morning, Ed and Susanna were disrupted by a few peaceful protestors.

They were noted during an appearance from disgraced former MP Neil Parish who gave his take on the events so far. It comes just a mere couple of months after Mr Parish resigned from his position after being caught watching pornography in the House of Commons.

Viewers couldn't help but be distracted by Brexit protester Steve Bray, who is well recognised for his activism, held a number of placards, one of which said: "Get your Johnson out of our Democracy", while another read: "Brexit destroys opportunities".

But it wasn't just the placards as later, music began to play during Ed and Susanna's broadcast. The pair began appeared confused, questioning where the sounds were coming from as they looked around. "Wow, what's..." Susanna started before she began to laugh.

"Sorry, where's that come from?" she turned to her co-host who was trying to continue with his link. "Are we about to do karaoke?" Susanna asked before they both started to do a little wiggle on-screen. But that suddenly stopped when they realised the lyrics to Bay City Rollers track 'Bye Bye Baby' had been replaced to say 'Bye Bye Boris'.

"Oh it's Steve Bray," Susanna exclaimed. "It's the latest Steve Bray protest." Ed then added: "Come on, Steve," before Susanna said: "I suppose if you're not longer allowed to shout, thee are other ways of making your voice heard."

And GMB viewers seemingly found it hilarious. @EstelleBisset tweeted: "Wow, nearly fell off the chair laughing. Well done GMB for the entertainment outside parliament today." @Tank153 said: "Get that guy with the signs on for an interview... that will be a good watch." @ChallisHeather replied: "Just soooo funny."

@IncubusAlan, however, fumed: "Can ANYBODY do something to remove that ANNOYING bloke with the placards who is now playing loud music, maybe the police could move him, #DisturbingThePeace? He was a pain in the backside during the #Brexit talks. We want the news not interruptions!!"
