Kate Garraway teased by Ben Shephard as he mocks her unusual ITV Good Morning Britain outfit
Ben Shephard couldn't help but tease Kate Garraway as the pair returned to Good Morning Britain outfit.
The presenters, and pals of more than 20 years, were back at the helm of the ITV news programme to bring viewers the latest headlines and entertainment news.
But it was Kate's "flamboyant" dress that was getting all the attention.
The 54-year-old, who was back on screen on Thursday night with her second Life Stories episode on ITV, was seen rocking a floral mixed with paisley print dress.
But the outfit's bright yellow and pink sleeves, plush matching embellished collar made her latest look jump out on screen.
And Ben, 47, had to bring it up.
"It's a statement piece," he commented. "It's stating don't look over there, look over here."
But Kate replied: "She's a brilliant new designer who's probably never going to work again.
"It's Friday, I thought, 'be cheerful!'"
Ben then turned to their co-star Charlotte Hawkins for her review.
She said: "I think it's nice and bold."
The dress talk didn't stop there as later in the show, following Richard Arnold's showbiz segment, Ben began reading messages out from viewers.
While one said Kate was 'brightening up' the morning, another joked: "Loving the pizza slices around Kate's neck."
GMB fans were also having their say on Twitter.
@leslangley tweeted: "Did Mr Tumble choose Kate Garraway’s dress today #GMB."
"It’s way too early to be subjected to Kate Garraway’s circa 1970’s frock. #KateGarraway #GMB," @DebsLouK said.
@Nads1704 commented: "Wow…that outfit is exploding with colour Kate…#GMB."
"Kate, the 1970s have been on the phone. They want their dress back #GMB," @mlmarklloyd3 joked.
