Emmerdale fans were baffled as Al Chapman's killer was unmasked in tonight's show.
Friday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout from the character's death. Al was murdered after a Halloween showdown with Cain Dingle.
Cain lured Al to a barn outside the village after he uncovered he was having an affair with Chas Dingle. Cain held him at gunpoint, but tossed the shotgun away to have a fist fight.

Al died after being shot and fans have since been speculating who pulled the trigger. Cain was arrested for the crime, but viewers were convinced there was more to the story.
The character, played by Jeff Hordley, pleaded guilty to murder in court in tonight's show. His wife, Moira, visited him at the end of the episode and berated Cain for destroying the family.
However, Cain revealed a shock twist at the end of the show as he confessed it was actually his son, Kyle, who committed the crime. Viewers following the show on Twitter were confused by the twist as they wondered how a young boy was able to pick up the shotgun.
Andrew said: "That was a surprise. Doesn't look strong enough to lift a shotgun"
Another user commented: "I'm no shotgun expert but is Kyle so handy with one that he wouldn't have so much as a kickback bruise?"
Sharl posted: "Kyle would've probably dislocated his shoulder using that shotgun. Stooooopid story line"
Connie posted : "Okay so Kyle killed Al but I don’t think it’s as clear cut as that. He would’ve had damage from kickback"
