Emmerdale fans were in stitches as Faith Dingle made a surprise 'return' to the soap tonight.
The character took her own life before allowing cancer to take it away from her in emotional scenes during the ITV soap's 50th anniversary special episodes. The quirky character was determined to go out with a bang though, as was proven in tonight's show.
Her daughter, Chas, brought her mum back to the Woolpack pub one final time as she put her ashes on top of the bar. They had been turned into a giant rocket firework, meaning that Faith's final farewell would light up the sky.

The unusual urn had a message written on a colourful banner. It sweetly said: "In loving memory of Faith Dingle. You lit up our lives."
Chas' hubby Paddy said: "She would like that." The grieving daughter replied: "Yeah, all ready to be lit up on Christmas Day just like she asked for."
Fans on Twitter couldn't believe what they were seeing. Matthew said: "A Space shuttle to launch Faith's ashes! and we're only 4 minutes in! #Emmerdale". Another user said: "That firework will probably cause an explosion etc knowing #Emmerdale."
A third added: "Mahoosive firework. Faith is back at the Woolly #Emmerdale." Meanwhile, another user said: "Faith's ashes in a space shuttle launch....#emmerdale"
