Actress Paige Sandhu who plays Emmerdale's serial killer Meena Jutla has revealed that viewers will be let in on a big secret in the hour-long episode airing on Thursday night (April 14). The ITV soap's villain Meena has spent months secretly killing off the village's residents but tonight her fate will finally be revealed.
This week, the nurse turned killer has been on trial as she faces multiple murder charges. She admitted her lesser crimes but pleaded not guilty to the murders of Leanna, Andrea, and Ben - which viewers know she committed. So far the villain has put on the water works in an attempt to twist the jury around her little finger.
But tonight the verdict is in as Meena will learn of the jury's final decision. And just as Emmerdale viewers may expect, the huge storyline won't end quietly as the actress has revealed that a 'big secret' will be exposed in her character's dramatic finale.

Paige Sandhu appeared on Lorraine on Thursday morning to chat to Christine Lampard, who is stepping in for Lorraine Kelly during Easter, and reveal all about her character's much-anticipated exit.
Paige, who joined the soap in September 2020, said playing the role of Meena has been a 'dream'. She then revealed that when she read the script for the finale she was completely shocked.
"As we know this is Meena's finale and I'd always imagined that it would go a certain way, but it is so much better than that," the actress said.
"It's so dramatic and there's one thing that's going to come out tonight where I actually dropped my script and I was like 'wow', I can't believe it. It's a big big secret that I think the audience will love and be really exciting, and it adds another dimension to Meena, her relationship with her sister and to the whole storyline."
A clip from tonight's episode was then played which showed Meena trying to manipulate the prison guard Ian, played by Waterloo Road actor Dean Smith.
"Meena definitely has a plan up her sleeve for Ian. She definitely saw him and knew it was someone she could manipulate and charm," Paige revealed. He is going to be involved in her plan which will come to light tonight."
Emmerdale wasn’t Paige’s first acting job, having begun her acting career with appearances in Doctors and Endeavour. But it was certainly the ITV soap that threw her in at the deep end which has already come with reward as she picked up Best Villain at the 2021 Inside Soap Awards and is nominated for Best Soap Actor at the upcoming TRIC Awards.
