Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has delighted fans as he unveiled his hidden talent alongside his co-star Bradley Johnson. Fans of the ITV soap are probably aware by now that Bradley, who stars as Vinny Dingle, is also a talented singer.
But many not be aware that Lawrence, who plays Mackenzie Boyd in Emmerdale, also had a decent set of pipes on him. So much so, Bradley has teamed up with him for a stunning Christmas cover which he shared to his Instagram page. The actors appeared on a sofa surrounded by musical instruments as they belted out their own rendition of the festive classic, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
"So and @lawrencejarobb had a wee sing song….." Bradley captioned the video. "Here is our version of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas! MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!"
And of course the comments quickly came flooding in with their Emmerdale co-stars among the first to show support. Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton in the Yorkshire soap, said: "So good!! amazing boys." Michelle Hardwick, who is currently on maternity leave from her character Vanessa Woodfield, simply typed: "Gorgeous."
Simon Lennon, who appeared as Ben Tucker on the ITV soap until being brutally killed off by serial killer Meena Jutla, posted: " Stop it! [heart-eyed emoji]. Charles Anderson actor Kevin Mathurin echoed: "Beautiful, you guys." Laura Norton, who is also on maternity leave from her character Kerry Wyatt, wrote: "Feel all tingly inside
While Eden Taylor-Draper, who stars as Emmerdale's Belle Dingle, commented a row of heart-eyed emojis and Bradley's on-screen mum Lisa Riley, who is famed for playing Mandy Dingle, added a string of applauding and heart emojis.
And fans were also swooning over the pair. @lakes_aroma said: "Omg so amazing well done @bradjakejohnson @lawrencejarobb really beautiful xx Merry Christmas." @magcav encouraged: "You both need to release this, I’m sure you would top the charts, go for it." @laurashaw_or_patbutcher replied: "Omg you guys! Amazing!!!"
@ma.ci8619 wrote: "Who knew Lawrence could sing." @crossleyamanda posted: "Oh I love this!!! Smiled all the way through." @helen.tomlinson.71 commented: "Wow thankyou that was amazing. Brought tears to my eyes. I’d happily buy that if you did a recording. Merry Christmas guys." @emilyrosieee added: "Omg I am obsessed amazing!!"
It comes as Bradley and some of his other Emmerdale co-stars have been issuing a plea to fans. Bradley and Laurence are set to appear in ITV show Britain Get Singing which airs on Christmas Eve alongside Lisa, Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor), Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle), Jay Kontzle (Billy Fletcher) and Daisy Campbell (Amelia Spencer).
Sharing a picture of the group on Instagram, Bradley wrote: "Tune into @itv on Christmas Eve at 8pm to see Emmerdale take on Coronation street, loosewomen, love Island and The Chase in a one off singing competition called BRITAIN GET SINGING. See ya there!! It’s for an amazing cause."
Mark also shared the same snap and wrote: "8.05pm @ITV Christmas Eve, it’s time for #BritainGetSinging We are up against some amazing choirs from other shows and it’s all to raise awareness around mental health. I love this gang. @lisajaneriley @bradjakejohnson @daisycampbellofficial @oliviabromley_ @lawrencejarobb @jkontzle What an amazing thing to be part of. Xxx"
Lisa shared a picture of them on stage in similar white outfits and said: "HERE IS A SNEAKY PEAK 'Britain Get Singing' for @itvxofficial @itv this coming CHRISTMAS….it’s in your screens Christmas Eve at 8.05pm I know you will love it. Singing on the night US LOT the cast of @emmerdale."
Karen Blick, who stars as Lydia Dingle in Emmerdale, replied to Lisa: "Oh my word you look like S Club. Can’t wait to watch," while Priya Sharma actress Fiona Wade added: "You all look fabulous!!"
