ITV Emmerdale's Danny Miller makes first public appearance with new wife after fairytale wedding

Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller was the picture of happiness as he arrived with his new wife Steph for a charity ball in Manchester. The Aaron Dingle actor, from Stockport, beamed for the cameras alongside his bride at The Sapphire Ball at The Hilton Manchester.

Danny, who is returning to the ITV soap later this year as Aaron as part of Emmerdale's explosive 50th anniversary celebrations after departing the Dales last year, shed tears of joy after marrying his childhood sweetheart at a star-studded ceremony in Cheshire.

The happy couple said 'I do' at Nunsmere Hall Hotel in Tarporley before 140 of friends and family, including Danny's former Emmerdale co-stars and their adorable 10 month old son Albert. Danny, 31, who played Aaron from 2008 until 2012, and midwife Steph, 30, said that apart from welcoming baby Albert their fairytale wedding was 'the best day of our lives.'

And as he proudly shared a photo of the couple at their first public appearance after the wedding, Danny shared some jokey marital advice. "If you’re wrong and you shut up, you’re wise," he wrote. "If you’re right and you shut up, you’re married."

4718_becca said with applause and crying laughing emojis: "Wise words." twinny_number_one cheered: "Good lad!!!!" and katherine.robinson.21 said: "Happy wife Happy life."

Danny looked dapper at the ball in a black suit and Steph sparkled in a beautiful midnight blue gown. Guests at their wedding included fellow Emmerdale favourites Lucy Pargeter, Charley Webb, Jeff Hordley, Zoë Henry, Emma Atkins, Isobel Steele, Isabel Hodgins, Eden Taylor-Draper and Bradley Johnson.

Danny's best men were friends Chris Gooch and Dan Jillings and his ushers included his former Emmerdale co-star Adam Thomas and Adam's brother former Coronation Street actor Ryan, as well as Danny's brother Paul and dad Vince, Steph’s dad Barry and brother Sean.

Danny and Steph’s 12 nieces and nephews acted as their page boys and flower girls and Albert was pulled by Steph’s nephew Rowan in a white cart decorated with flowers and a wooden heart reading 'Daddy here comes Mummy.' Danny says he was 'overwhelmed' to see his bride and there were some tears as they said their vows.

Steph's dress, which featured a mesh corset-style bodice and skirt with intricate detailing, was from Florianni Bridal Boutique and was made in Ukraine, reported OK! magazine. Steph told their guests later in the evening that she’d been 'waiting to marry Danny since year eight' and Danny recalled how he had a crush on his bride from the moment they met in primary school.

He came home and told his mum there was 'a new pupil called Stephanie started today and she has hubba hubba legs.' Their romance continued on and off throughout primary school and their teenage years, but they went their separate ways after leaving high school. However they got back in touch three and a half years ago after Danny slid into Steph’s Instagram DMs.

Danny was choked up with tears as he told how they found each other again at their 'darkest times' while struggling with their mental health. He said: "Her mum and dad always tell me that I saved her life, but what they don’t realise in actual fact was that Steph saved my life in more ways than one and changed my life in more ways than one and for that I do owe her my life. It’s why we’re inseparable.”

His bride said: "Before I met Danny I wouldn’t talk about how I felt. I used to try and hide how I was feeling try and make out I was OK. "Danny was the one who taught me to talk about things and not be ashamed when you’re not feeling great and how it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person when you’re feeling down. Danny made me stronger by making me talk about it.”

The newlyweds had a first dance with a difference as guests were tricked into thinking they were performing a slow dance to From Now On from The Greatest Showman. But they disappeared behind a red curtain with 90 seconds to change into The Greatest Showman outfits to perform a routine with a whole host of performers.
