ITV Emmerdale's Danny Miller has fans in tears as he pays emotional tribute to 'best friend' and 'little sister'

Danny Miller left Emmerdale fans in tears as he paid a moving tribute to his co-star Isobel Steele. Viewers of the ITV soap were left sobbing on Wednesday night when Liv Dingle died after being crushed by a caravan in the terrifying windstorm which crept up on the village.

Liv and husband Vinny Dingle only left their home after Paddy Kirk asked if they mind his daughter Eve while he rushed to the hospital to be with his wife Chas after she too was injured in the storm. The couple tried to make the journey to The Woolpack but were crushed by Sam Dingle's caravn after it was swept away in the blustering wind and last night, viewers finally discovered the pair's fate, with Vinny back on his feet desperate to help his wife. As Aaron and Paddy also rushed to help, Liv tearfully said: "I can't feel my legs."

As Aaron and Vinny desparelty tried to free Liv, Paddy warned that they could do more harm and to wait for the emergency service. But the vet soon had to share the devastating news to Aaron, Vinny, and Mandy Dingle that there was nothing the emergency services could do as Liv being trapped under the caravan was the only thing keeping her alive.

Aaron and Vinny both had to say gut-wrenching goodbyes and soon Liv, who realised she was dying, told her broken husband: "I love you Vinny, I never knew anyone could make me so happy..." before closing her eyes and taking her final breath. Emmerdale viewers flocked to social media to say they had been 'broken' by the scene and praise the actors for providing such an emotionally-charged episode.

Many of Isobel's co-stars also took to social media to share their messages of love and support to the departing actress. But Danny, who is currently holidaying with his wife Steph and their son Albert, shared his own message on Thursday (October 20) just as Emmerdale fans had started to come to terms with the second soap death of the week.

Aaron had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to Liv (ITV)

"The moment that young girl walked into the room and delivered what was an outstanding performance. Myself and everyone in that very room knew we had a rising star on our hands," Danny typed alongside a photo of him and Isobel with their arms wrapped around one another "Now, she leaves a woman with the world at her feet. My best friend, my little sister, my Liv.."

He went on: "@Isobel_steele - thank you for the last 7 years. The bond Aaron & Liv had was incomparable. Nobody ever came close. And that’s why you’ll always be in my life. Your Mum, Dad & Con will be so proud. Onward and upwards now for you our kid! Love you mate. See you at the caravan."

Isobel soon replied, telling her on-screen brother,, who has only made a temporary return to the Dales for the 50th anniversary: "Thank you for everything Danny. Love you so much. Couldn’t have wished to share the screen with a better brother & friend. It’s been the best time of my life xxx see you at the caravan obvs."

But the post got fans in an emotional state once more. @leonirosebrownx said: "Thanks danny, crying again." @Vanessabooty1 echoed: "I’ve only just stopped crying. Cheers for starting me off again." @_milliejohnson commented: "My heart man." @vcnitys posted: "I had literally just stopped crying." @basicallymeb shared: "I’m not crying you are."

@JoCornes praised: "The bond between you two is unreal. You will both be sadly missed @Isobel_steele you had the world crying at that moment in time." @MissJadeKnight typed: "This broke my heart. Absolutely devastated to see you leave. I couldn’t stop crying. Amazing episode fabulous acting." @suzydoormouse added: "Why do you always have me in tears lol, well done all of you last night, excellent episode, good luck Isobelle."
