Fans of Emmerdale were split as they watched April Windsor fake a covid test result.
The character, played by Amelia Flanagan, took her controlling behaviour to a whole new level on tonight's episode. Her dad, Marlon, was feeling fine but April coerced him into taking a covid test.
The scheming youngster searched on the internet for how to fake a positive result so Marlon was bewildered when it seemed that he had the virus. He told her the rules had been lifted and you can now go out with covid but she tried to convince him to stay inside.

Fans of the ITV soap were split over the storyline, with some being insulted by it and others loving it. On Twitter one user said: "Faking covid. Cool I'm going to use that one....#emmerdale."
Brandon said: "It’s nice to see a kid going above and beyond to protect their parent! #April #Marlon #Emmerdale."
Meanwhile, others slammed the programme. Sophie said: "Oi April, shite like faking a COVID test will pobs get you arrested in certain circles.... #emmerdale."
Gary said: "Well done @emmerdale @ITV @itvstudios. Have a story about faking covid tests and put a message in about not having to isolate like it was just a gov thing and not a common sense thing and insult everyone who suffered and died!"
After suffering from a stroke last year, Marlon was in a touch-and-go situation over whether he would survive at all. But with a huge amount of courage, persistence, hard work and support he’s now very much improved and can do most things without any help.
However, his daughter, April, has suddenly become overly concerned and is finding ways to keep him inside so she can keep a proper eye on him.
