ITV Emmerdale fans predict new romance between unlikely pair

Emmerdale viewers have predicted a new romance that would be sure to rock the dales.

Those watching the show tonight saw a struggling Marlon shout at his physiotherapist, Kit, and tell him to leave his home. Marlon, who is recovering from a stroke, was left feeling hopeless and demoralised after becoming exhausted.

Later scenes saw Rhona begin to apologise to Kit, but her mother, Mary, interrupted. She told Kit he was "incredibly annoying".

As Rhona protested, Mary continued, saying she wasn't surprised Marlon hated him. She said: "I've known plenty of your type and you're annoying. It's not like Marlon was fit [before the stroke], the only thing he ran was a kitchen".

Rhona interjected and told Mary to stop insulting her fiancé. But it soon emerged that Mary had a plan. She wanted Kit to ask Marlon to teach him to cook, and this could be a way of him redeveloping his motor skills.

However some viewers were distracted by what they detected as flirtation. Taking to Twitter, Mike Priestley said: "How long till Rhona gets it on with Marlon's physiotherapist?"

Lydia said: "Rhona and Kit, sitting in a tree, k i s s.... #Emmerdale". Randomone said: "How long before Rhona sleeps with the physio?".
