Emmerdale fans said they were 'howling' as they spotted a crucial mistake by Nicky Milligan that could ruin his dad Caleb's plan to bring down Kim Tate and get his hands on Home Farm.
The dodgy businessman, played by Will Ash, is hellbent on getting his hands on what he believes is his after it was revealed that his dad is the late Frank Tate, Kim's ex-husband. Frank, played by Norman Bowler, died on the ITV soap in 1997 at the age of 59 in a special hour-long episode following the arrival of his estranged wife Kim.
The character, who is also father to Chris, Zoe, and Jamie Tate as well as Liam Hammond, appeared to have a heart attack as she watched on, and demanded contact with her son James Tate.

Earlier this week, Caleb and Nicky clashed - again - as he begged for them to drop the facade and forget about their plan. And fans were confused when Caleb told him: "Kim killed my dad, your grandad, have you forgotten that? You've met her, you know she’s more than capable. But we are going to make her pay. This is you and me son. I do my bit, you keep smiling and you keep Gabby happy. Stop whining. You have got a job to do, so do it. It’s time to step up and be a man."
But during Wednesday night's trip to the Dales (April 27), fans were again left sure that it'll be Nicky who will be Caleb's downfall and expose his plans. The nanny was heading into Café Main Street but he accidentally bumped into Caleb who was leaving at the same time.
In response, Caleb warned: "Watch it!" while Nicky automatically replied: "Woah, sorry dad!" - with a random person overhearing their chat. And viewers quickly commented on social media as they pointed out Nicky's major error.
@_Clara_Lfc tweeted: "Oh sorry Dad! Howling! #emmerdale." @kellymew_ posted: "Sorry DAD .. woah way to keep it secret Nicky #emmerdale." @emmadeere wrote: "#emmerdale how come Nicky has suddenly started calling Caleb ‘dad’ when he’s kept it secret so long & why does he have a geordie accent & Caleb a Manchester accent #confused."
@e_0003 mocked: "Nicky and Caleb are hardly discreet #emmerdale." @stevebethere jokingly added: "Nicky and Caleb aka Laurel & Hardy are so bloody discreet #emmerdale."
