Emmerdale fans were left furious at one particular character as they believe they are the one responsible for Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas splitting up - again. Viewers of the ITV soap had already seen Laurel finally agree to give Jai another chance after dumping him for taking out a loan in her name.
Earlier this year, a desperate Jai took a loan out in his girlfriend's name after he and then business partner Kim Tate had to pay a huge fine. It came following the disaster that was the survival event that saw Andrea Tate lose her life with others put in danger as recently jailed Meena Jutla caused havoc on the course.
But Jai's betrayal meant that Laurel almost lost her beloved home, Mulberry Cottage, after Kim decided to put it up for sale and she was unable to get a mortgage due to the huge loan which she had no idea about. Eventually, step-daughter Gabby Thomas stepped in and was able to save her family home but after Jai did a separate deal with Kim, he lost everything.

However, viewers saw Jai and Laurel growing closer and working their way to being a couple again and she was left impressed when Jai stood up for the part-time staff at the HOP after Kim dictated that they needed to go on zero-hour contracts - and Jai had to be the one to tell them.
Then, after speaking to Rhona Goskirk about Marlon Dingle's recovery from a stroke after he returned home, Laurel realised life was too short and decided to go all-in and make a fresh start with Jai. The pair were preparing to tell their kids, Archie, Arthur, and Dottie the good news when things unexpectedly went wrong.
During Wednesday night's episode, a giddy Jai was getting in sister Priya Sharma's way at Take A Vow. However, he was soon ushered out when Kim arrived to chat about her own nuptials. Later, Jai returned, with Laurel, after losing his wallet. As the newly reunited couple looked around, Lauran pulled up a cushion on the chair to find his wallet but as she picked it up an a small bag of drugs fell out.
Laurel was furious with Jai, quickly assuming it was his, and despite him protesting his innocence, she told him it was over between them. Jai believes that it is Kim setting him up after she told him he had made her feel like a 'loser' of the HOP situation.
But Emmerdale fans were left angry as they believe they know who the drugs really belong to. @mikepriestley13 tweeted: "Feel sorry for jai it’s not his as the coke is Leyla’s #Emmerdale."

@Dan240993 shared: "Uh oh Jai’s gonna think that Kim has planted the drugs on him where they’re actually Leyla’s !!!#Emmerdale," as @JordanPhelps21 commented: "We all know those drugs are Leyla’s #Emmerdale."
And viewers are right as next week's Emmerdale spoilers detail how Leyla Cavanagh's secret finally comes to light after she was left acting shifty when she found out newcomer Suzy was dating friend Vanessa Woodfield.
Next week, Leyla spots Jai in the pub and bolsters his mood by saying she believes him when he says the drugs weren’t his. Leyla continues to lend her support to Jai by suggesting one of their clients could have their hen-do at The Hide. Leyla isn’t keen that Suzy is hanging around but Priya likes Suzy’s suggestion of collaborating with them with her events business.
The following day, Suzy announces she’s secured a meeting with a potentially rich client. Outside, Leyla spots Suzy bantering with Callum just as Vanessa is approaching and does her best to stall her. Later, Leyla and Suzy are all delighted when their pitch with Eddie goes well and they secure his business as a client. Outside Leyla and Suzy meet furtively and we finally discover what Leyla has been hiding as behind the Hop Suzy holds up a bag of white powder and gives it a flick.
Leyla eagerly grabs it and readies herself to take the drugs. Back inside, having had such a successful client meeting, Leyla and Suzy celebrate the deal with Eddie. Suzy says she needs to call Priya but Leyla says they can do it later as they need to get back to the office. Soon in the Take a Vow office, Leyla’s on a coke-fuelled roll as she and Suzy celebrate. Suddenly Vanessa walks in just as Leyla has lined up coke on the desk. Will Vanessa guess their game?
