ITV Emmerdale Danny Miller's Merseyside link, showbiz dad and soap future

Emmerdale fans rejoiced as Aaron Dingle returned to the soap earlier this month.

The character, played by Danny Miller, arrived back in the fictional Yorkshire village as part of the show's 50th anniversary celebrations. It was the first time Aaron had been on the ITV show since last December when he drove away from the Yorkshire Dales after struggling to cope with the death of his partner, Ben Tucker.

Aaron's return to the village is temporary as he wanted to sign off the deeds of the mill and the scrapyard to his sister, Liv. However, the timing of his return couldn't have been worse as he caught his mum having an affair with Al Chapman and a huge storm is about to hit the farm.

Liv has taken Aaron's decision to leave again hard and spoilers for this week's episodes show the brother and sister will put aside their differences before heading out to brave the storm. Danny quit the show to pursue other career opportunities so it seems likely this time his exit will be final.

He announced his exit from the show ahead of his stint on I'm A Celebrity last year. He said: " I'd like to think that I'm very, very far away from Aaron and that's part of the reason why I wanted to do this show.

"I've actually left Emmerdale, unfortunately, and I've decided to start a new path in life." Danny regularly keeps his 713,000 Instagram followers updated with his exciting life away from the screen. He is married to childhood sweetheart, Steph, and the two welcomed their first child, Albert, into the world last year.

His down to earth personality was a hit with I'm A Celebrity fans as he was crowned King of the Castle. Danny has strong Merseyside links as he is a huge Liverpool FC fan and he proudly showed off a gift from the Reds after he was crowned winner.

He said: "Just when I thought life couldn’t get any better, I receive this from @liverpoolfc , what is going on!!" Danny regularly posts reactions to the Reds' latest results and shared an update as he watched Jurgen Klopp's side triumph 7 - 1 over Rangers in the week.

Danny hails from strong showbiz roots as his dad is famous comedian, Vince Miller. Although Danny is a huge LFC fan, his dad has strong connections to North West rivals, Manchester United.

Vince used to host a comedy show for the VIP section of Old Trafford and is friends with Sir Alex Ferguson. According to Mirror Online, Danny said: "He's a great compere, very funny and witty, and gets to do loads of things. I’ve been to Fergie’s birthdays and wedding anniversary’s as his guest."
