ITV Dancing on Ice's Jayne Torvill wants David Beckham for next series

Dancing On Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday morning and discussed the stars they'd love to have on the show.

This comes after comedian Darren Harriott became the fifth celebrity to leave the ITV competition show at the weekend after landing in the skate-off against The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran. Dance group Diversity also took to the ice at the weekend and left viewers stunned with their incredible performance on the ice.

Following the exciting show, Jayne and Christopher appeared alongside Lorraine Kelly on her ITV morning chat show to discuss all things DOI.

The skating legends discussed who their dream contestants would be, and set their sights high picking two A-List celebrities. Jayne, 65, admitted she would love to see David Beckham try his luck on the ice.

Buzzing at the suggestion, Lorraine told Jayne: "I think you should expect a call," as she quipped back: "That would be amazing".

Lorraine figured that the former England captain would be good on the show, as she added: "He'd be good actually, I think so because he's a sportsman. He will be competitive and want to do it properly".

Christopher, 64, chimed in and said he would like to see this Hollywood movie star on the ITV ice skating show. He said: "I'd like to see Margot Robbie, and she's a skater".

Lorraine gushed: "Oh yes, she has in that brilliant film. Wow that was an amazing film, she would be so good," referencing the Australian actresses 2017 blockbuster I, Tonya - following the story of professional skater Tonya Harding and the lead up to the attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan.

Dancing On Ice 2023 continues Sunday nights on ITV.
