ITV Dancing on Ice fans threaten Ofcom complaints after 'inappropriate' dance

A routine performed by Love Island winner Ekin Su on ITV's Dancing on Ice was branded 'inappropriate' for a family show as this weekend's episode was threatened with Ofcom complaints. Holly Willoughby described the routine as the 'sexiest ever' as the reality star donned a skimpy sequined thong leotard.

Su re-enacted her 'crawling moment' from Love Island for the dance, which was given a mix of 5s and 6s and met with boos from the audience, Yorkshire Live reports. Many viewers and Twitter commenters described the outfit as being 'inappropriate' for a show starting at 7pm.

@corby_tun said: "#dancingonice Bless her, trying to do a sexy routine doesn't really work when you're moving with all the grace of a baby giraffe with a broken leg."

@shefacedus said: "Ekin-Su didn't skate independently for a single moment and kept pausing to blow kisses to audience and gets 5s and 6s? What a joke this competition is #dancingonice"

@EN52871824 said: "That's not the worst thing about her act, the outfit and dance moves completely inappropriate for a family programme....if its going to seedy and disgusting then put it on after 9....."

Other celebrities in the 2023 lineup include RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne, Leeds Olympian Nile Wilson and FA Cup-winning footballer John Fashanu as well as Corrie star Mollie Gallagher.
