ITV viewers flooded Twitter with complaints on Monday night during the first episode of much hyped thriller Our House after the channel 'crashed' and blacked out.
After weeks of preview adverts, the four part series, starring Martin Compston and Tuppence Middleton, made its debut in the primetime 9pm slot, where it will be for four consecutive nights this week.
Our House, based on the book of the same name by Louise Candlish, tells the story of Fi, who arrives home on day to see strangers moving into her house.
As she begs removal men to stop moving their furniture into what, she is adamant is still her home, Fi tries but fails to get in touch with husband Bram.

If you've read the novel, you'll know that Our House requires a lot of concentration as it changes time between the past and present quite often, with the action swiftly rewinding to when Fi and Bram first moved into the house.
But, just as Fi found her husband cheating on her with a neighbour, many viewers were left in the dark quite literally when ITV went black, before returning to normal over five minutes later.
Taking to Twitter, one of those affected fumed: "Aaaah what have we just missed @ITV???? It goes off during #OurHouse and now we don't know what's happened!!!" illustrating their point with angry face emojis.
Experiencing the same issue, another blasted: "What have I just missed on itv our house? The tv screen has been blacked out for the last 10 minutes?" and, equally puzzled and unimpressed a third posted: "So, something happened and he was doing something with someone! Do I know who. Not got a clue coz ITV crashed in the middle of the dramatic bit in Our House."
With just hours to go before Our House's launch, Martin Compston took to Twitter to tell fans to expect a 'stressful' few nights.
He wrote: "‘Our House’ starts tonight on @ITV 9PM. 4 episodes across the next 4 nights. Probably best to get over in a week with the stress that’s coming."
