Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has been showered with support after making an announcement on social media. The actress is best known to fans for playing Abi Webster in the ITV soap and in a change of pace for her character, hasn't been seen on-screen as much as usual of late.
And now it appears fans won't be able to catch up with the soap star online either as she confirmed she would be taking a break from social media for weeks, leaving fans concerned as they sent their well wishes to Sally.
"Taking a bit of a break from social media for the next few weeks," she wrote in a post on Thursday (February 23), sharing a picture with those words written on it, coupled with a heart emoji as the caption.
And fans were quick to inundate the soap star with words of support. @debbielawley64 said: "Hope your ok." @susan_siddle commented: "I hope all is well." @franceliafarrellanderson wrote: "Do what's right for you my lovely."
@belletoes posted: "You will be missed but it’s good for the soul to take a break." @christianvela007 commented: "I will miss u. Take care Sally. I hope all goes well." @osullivan_sue replied: "Will miss you but it's nice to have a little break from social media take care." @tinaob83.fanpage added: "We will miss you hope your okay and staying safe."
Back in July last year, Sally said 'I Do' to her Corrie co-star Joe Duttine as they tied the knot in an intimate church ceremony in July. Two years after getting engaged, Sally confirmed the pair had officially tied the knot with an image posted to her Instagram account. "We did," Sally, aka Mrs Duttine, captioned the post which showed the newlyweds sharing a kiss, both with a glass of fizz in hand, stood under a stunning balloon arch.
And after enjoying an Italian adventure for their honeymoon with Sally sharing updates on social media as they swapped Weatherfield for the likes of Verona and Lake Garda and heading off again on a trip to France where they sipped pints in the sunshine, Sally and Joe appeared to say 'I Do' all over again.
In September, Sally, 41, and Joe, 52, appeared to don their original outfits from their first big day as they soaked up the love from their guests at their wedding party. Sally then returned to social media to share a few more snaps from her memorable summer, including a new shot from her wedding day. "What a summer," she captioned the string of images before sharing a lengthy post.
