Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd had a few of his fans worried as he shared some snaps from his recent getaway to Poland. The actor took a break from the cobbles drama to enjoy some time away in Kraków with his influencer girlfriend Hanni Treweek.
The couple spent a few days exploring the sights, including taking an emotional trip to Auschwitz. Last week, Jack posted an image on Instagram from the Auschwitz museum which showed huge glass cases filled with black pairs of shoes. "I’ve always had an interest in the holocaust and was able to go to Auschwitz - Birkenau to learn, experience and respect those who suffered," he typed alongside the poignant image.
"If you ever visit Poland it’s a must for everyone to go. As the memorial plaque says 'for ever let this place be a cry of despair and a warning to humanity' let’s make sure this never happens again," he added.
The soap star, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, also addressed a fan who thought he had broken the no photography rules. "Certain places you can’t so flash photography doesn’t damage anything, but everywhere else they encourage photos so people can always see what happened and never forget," he replied. "And it’s because of photos along with witnesses that we know what happened in the camps at all."
Days after his moving post, Jack has returned to Instagram to share some lighter moments from his and Hanni's trip which included a fancy horse-drawn carriage ride. The 35-year-old could be seening donning a grey jumper and dark chinos as he smiled away from the camera in a pair of shades.
The snap also saw Hanni, who worked behind the scenes on Corrie and regularly posts fashion shots on social media, gazing at her man while cutting a stylish figure in a beige coat which she donned with a white cosy hat and checked scarf.
There was also a video of the loved-up pair giggling while at dinner. "Was lucky to have birthday celebrations in Poland with these two," he captioned the post referring to one of the images that saw a glam Hanni posing alongside her equally stunning friend.
He added: "Thank you @bachledaluxuryhotel for looking after us so much." But fans were more interested in the carriage ride snap and started to respond. @r.barter said: "No coat. How very northern of you."
@andielcfcsutton asked: "How could you not wear a coat?!" @sandrabrown23 replied: "Where’s his coat she’s all wrapped up warm bet he’s freezing." Others were complimenting the snaps.
