The stars of Coronation Street have been flooding social media with selfies and photobooth shots after they were finally able to enjoy a belated Christmas party. The cast of the ITV soap were together at Manchester's Science and Industry Museum in their first big party since 2019.
Among those sharing snaps from the big night out was Ellie Leach, best known for playing Faye Windass in the ITV soap. Over the weekend the 21-year-old star took to Instagram to share a glimpse at the outfit she chose for the evening.
Posing in the early evening sunshine in her garden before heading out, Ellie looked stunning in white corset top which she paired with a pair of white cargo trousers. She was glowing as she pulled her curled brunette locks away from her face.
She wrote alongside the post: "W ork spring doo," and her Corrie co-stars were quick to add their compliments. Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow in the ITV soap, said she looked "stunning" while Kelly Neelan star Millie Gibson replied: "Amazing!"
Paddy Bever, who stars in the soap as troublesome teen Max Turner, simply commented with a string of love heart eye emojis as Colson Smith, who plays her on-screen boyfriend, wrote: " Merry Christmas xx."
Ellie also took to her Instagram Story to share another glimpse into the Corrie night out. She shared a snap of a photobooth strip as she posed alongside Ryan Russell and Nathan Graham, who play brothers Michael and James Bailey in the Salford-based soap.
The trio posed for the array of snaps in various hats, wigs and even with a Spongebob Squarepants inflatable. Captioning the post, Ellie said: "Brothers I never had these two."
There was upset for Faye and boyfriend Craig Tinker in Coronation Street last month when she thought she was expecting the couple's first baby, only to find out after a miscarriage scare that she had never been pregnant.
At the hospital Faye and her partner waited for the scan results but were shocked by what they were told. The scenes led Corrie fans to worry about Faye's health and next week their fears are confirmed when at the medical centre, Dr Susan Gaddas breaks the news to Faye, that she’s suffering from an early menopause and will never be able to have any more children.
Faye tells her dad Tim Metcalfe then returns home and breaks the news to Craig who then later reveals to Faye that his mum Beth Sutherland reckons he should dump her because she can’t have children. Faye had previously worried that the timing of being pregnant was awful as she and policeman Craig had been at loggerheads.
When she was just 13 Faye gave birth to daughter Miley in a shock pregnancy storyline. The schoolgirl decided to hand the baby over to Miley's father Jackson and his parents who were moving to Canada. In 2017 she was very briefly reunited with Miley when she bumped into her daughter and Jackson in hospital.
