ITV Corrie fans spot same problem with staged robbery fiasco as they're distracted by detail

Coronation Street fans waded in to have their say as they watched Ryan Connor stage a robbery at the Bistro. Owner Debbie Webster instructed the DJ to fake a break-in so that she could make a claim on the insurance.

But when Debbie told Ryan the robbery was off, Ryan was fuming. With Casino Night underway, Ryan told Debbie that he was going to fuse the electrics and grab the cash from the safe.

Suddenly the bistro was plunged into darkness and Debbie reluctantly helped with Ryan’s plan. As the Bistro customers filed into the Rovers, Ryan stuffed the cash into his gym bag but Leanne Battersby arrived.

Ryan hid while Leanne flicked the switch and the lights came back on. Ryan, clutching the bag of stolen cash, came out from his hiding place and made out he’d just arrived.

Ryan assured Debbie that the cash was stashed in his bedroom. Later, Leanne was horrified to discover all the money gone and Debbie ordered Ryan to call the police.

But Corrie fans were unconvinced by the scenes and took to Twitter to have their say. @ShaunInBrum exclaimed: "How much in CASH does a Salford backstreet never busy bistro make on a Monday?"

@StuartYoung001 asked: "Wheres all that wedge come from...... Not from the Bistro." And @HazelScottComms wondered: "At what point in the scriptwriting meeting did NOBODY say 'The Bistro would be mainly card payments. They’d be lucky to have £100 in the safe.'” And @pam_debeauvoir remarked: "It's a bistro Ryan not Brinks-Mat."

At the same time Coronation Street viewers were distracted by glam Debbie's new quiff hairstyle. They likened the look to Cameron Diaz's iconic do in the 1998 film There's Something About Mary.

@Blockbustargirl admired: "Debbie's quiff is everything." @rozlaws tweeted: "Debbie has very 'something about Mary' vibes." @chippytea_ commented: "She may be dodgy but Debbie is such a fashion queen." And @BatesShe wrote: "Debbie with her 'Something about Mary' hair."
