Fans were all left asking the same question as Fiz Stape left Coronation Street after almost 21 years. Fiz, played by Jennie McAlpine, has headed off to a new home with partner Phill Whittaker.
She was seen driving away from the street where she was taken in by Roy Cropper and his late wife Hayley as their foster daughter. And she told Phill how the street held memories 'good and bad.'
Actress Jennie isn't leaving the soap, but Fiz is making a new start at a new address with her girls Hope and Ruby. Hope is her daughter with her late husband John Stape and Ruby is her ex partner Tyrone Dobbs' daughter with his abusive ex Kirsty Soames who died last year.

But viewers were baffled by the departure. And they took to Twitter to ask why Fiz, who has always acted as a mother to Ruby since she was a baby, was leaving with Tyrone's daughter.

Viewers are predicting that it won't be long before Fiz returns to her rightful home.

Fiz found love again with Phill after Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, cheated on her with lodger Alina Pop. Alina eventually left him after she realised he still had feelings for his ex and had been covering up for Hope setting fire to their flat while she was pregnant.
Wanting what is best for Fiz Tyrone told her she deserves a fresh start in a big house with a garden for the girls and waved her off. But his smile hid his heartache.
On Wednesday in the Underworld factory, Beth Sutherland and Sean Tullu gently rib Fiz about her new house and how she’s finally landed on her feet. And Fiz does her best to appear enthusiastic.
But when Fiz calls at the garage Tyrone admits how much he misses her and the girls.
