Coronation Street fans are delighted to have Adam Barlow back on their screens as he showcases the latest in a long line of different hairstyles. Over the years Ken Barlow's grandson has sported everything from a shaved head to long, straight and slicked-back hair.
In April viewers couldn't help noticing that Adam was bearing a striking resemblance to his relative Simon Barlow in the ITV soap. He switched his locks again to proudly display a head of growing natural curls. "Has Adam actually borrowed Simon’s hair???!!! #Corrie," @Samanth22356123 commented while @zamp69wall shared: "Look at Adams hair now!! OMG! Is he turning into Simon?! #Corrie."
After a quieter time of late, after being at the centre of the drama in the grips of stalker Lydia Chambers who threatened his marriage to wife Sarah, Adam is back with a fresh short sides and curly at the top hairdo. In Monday night's episode solicitor Adam stepped in to help Toyah Habeeb as police closed in on her over the death of her husband and his colleague Imran.

Adam went through a turbulent time with his ex Lydia, played by Rebecca Ryan, earlier this year as she faked an affair leading to Sarah dumping her husband. She befriended Sarah and plotted to wreck their marriage in revenge for how badly he treated her in their university days.
Then, after arranging to meet her, Adam suffered a horror accident that left him at risk of losing his sight. The pair were arguing on the first floor of a shopping centre when Lydia gave Adam a hard shove knocking him unconscious.
At the hospital, Sarah arrived to find Lydia, who was there to apologise for her behaviour. She confessed to tormenting Adam, trashing her own flat and setting it up to look like they had been having an affair and Sarah called the police.
Then came a surprising twist as Adam left his hospital bed and headed to the police station to call a truce over his past behaviour and make sure Lydia was freed. Adam is the son of the late Susan Barlow and Mike Baldwin. Sam took over the role in 2004 until 2007 and he returned to the cobbles in 2016.
In February Sam admitted he'd thought about 'hanging up his suit' as suave Adam, saying his dramatic Fatal Attraction-style storyline had left him feeling the need to 'recalibrate' after six years back on the famous street. And the 36-year-old star from Dundee told the Manchester Evening News and other press that was currently feeling 'confused' as an actor.
Asked if he would like to see Adam stay with Sarah, played by Tina O'Brien, after their marriage had been rocked he said: "I don't know about that. I don't know." He explained: "I think one thing that I've enjoyed about working with Rebecca so much is it's been a bit different really.
"I think sometimes familiarity breeds contempt. Sometimes you pick up a script and it's like 'I feel like it's doing the same scene I did 12 months ago.' Then you think 'is it me, is it the characters or is it the other actors?'"
Sam said he'd sought the opinions of Weatherfield legends David Neilson, who plays Roy Cropper, and Jimmi Harkishin, who plays Dev Alahan. "I speak to a lot of the guys here that have been working here for 20, 15 years like David Neilson and Jimmi Harkishin - I had a scene with him today," he said.
"And I'm like 'do you ever have those moments in which you think 'I could do with maybe hanging this character's suit up on the coat hanger for a little bit?' And they're like 'oh yeah it happens' because I think as an actor you're used to working on different characters."
He continued: "I've not played another character in over six years in my career now. I feel like at the minute coming through this really big storyline I definitely feel I need to recalibrate a bit and find out what this character is all about.
"I feel this storyline the confusion Adam is feeling I'm kind of feeling the same confusion myself as an actor in terms of who is this character I'm playing now. It's very different from what it was six months ago or 12 months."
