Coronation Street viewers pleaded "no" as they feared for Sally Metcalfe.
Wednesday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the character's marriage to Tim Metcalfe. The couple have been working on their relationship issues over the recent months.
Tim tried to play a prank on Sally in tonight's show as he pretended to have forgotten their wedding anniversary gift. The plan backfired when Sally tore up the card and angrily left their home.

Tim tracked Sally down before he revealed he was joking and presented her with a beautiful necklace. Sally was wowed by the present and returned the favour by cooking him a special anniversary meal.
Tim has recruited the help of Aggie Bailey, who has helped the Metcalfes work through their marriage problems. He thanked Aggie on the latest episode by giving her a necklace.
However, Aggie felt guilty about the gift and lied to her daughter when she questioned where she got it from. Viewers on Twitter were concerned by the update as they think Tim and Aggie will soon have an affair.
Kez said: "I hope Tim and Aggie don't have an affair. Please no"
Michelle commented: "Aggie lying about the necklace Tim gave her. Please writers let them not have an affair."
Momo said: "This Tim & Aggie situationship is going to lead to something soon"
Bobby posted: "I really hope the writers don’t have Tim & Aggie an affair. Sally & Tim are great together."
Jess tweeted : "It feels like the writers are going with the slowest possible descent to a Tim/Aggie affair, and no-one wants or needs that."
Victoria posted: "I really hope Tim and Aggie aren't going to go down the road of an affair. It's a lovely friendship and doesn't need to be anything more than that."
