Coronation Street viewers issued a demand after Steve McDonald's "strange" change.
Wednesday's episode of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout after Amy Barlow was raped by Aaron Sandford. The character, played by Elle Mulvaney, is traumatised after the incident but has attempted to deal with the aftermath alone.
The character's issues continued in tonight's episode as she was taken to hospital after drinking a bottle of vodka. Amy has opened up to her onscreen parents, Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow about the incident, and they urged her to contact the police.

Steve and Tracy were concerned about their daughter's welfare and this prompted Amy to downplay the severity of what happened to ease their fears. However, she confronted her trauma and admitted to her parents she was struggling after they visited her in hospital.
Viewers were distracted during the emotional story in Monday's show when Steve wore a cap throughout the episode. However, the character, played by Simon Gregson, ditched the accessory in tonight's show and fans called for it to return.
Frank said: "Can we please start a petition to bring back Steve's cap?"
Craig commented: "What's happened to Steve's baseball cap that he was wearing the other night?"
Mel said: "Y'all happy now. Steve's cap is gone.
Doreen said: "Someone has taken out the staples that was holding Steves cap in place at last"
@corriepodcast said: "Steve’s lost his cap already."
Craig posted: "No cap for Steve tonight. Strange."
