To quote The Courteeners, 'you're not nineteen forever,' and that's exactly who Coronation Street star Elle Mulvaney took inspiration from as she celebrated her 20th birthday over the weekend. The actress, who plays Amy Barlow in the ITV soap, headed out to mark the occasion with her co-star 'besties'.
And birthday girl Elle looked stunning as she posed for a few snaps which she later shared with her thousands of Instagram followers. She showed off her flawless make-up for the occasion in a selfie that just caught the autumn glow from the window as her brunette locks glistened in the light.
She then showed off her outfit, posing in a swinging egg chair. Looking away from the camera, Elle could be seen wearing a figure-hugging black maxi dress which she paired with a pair of gold heels that tied up round her ankles. The Corrie star added a touch of sparkle with a silver Vivianne Westwood necklace and a pair of drop earrings.
Elle later threw on a black leather jacket to shield herself from the colder temperatures as she posed alongside her co-star Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman in the ITV soap. And she was flooded with compliments.

Elle has since returned to the photo-sharing platform to share some more snaps from her celebrations alongside Harriet and on-screen boyfriend Jack James Ryan, who plays Corrie's Jacob Hay.
Harriet, who also donned a black mini dress for the night out with her blonde locks hanging in curls around her shoulders, gave a peace sign to the camera, as did Elle, while in another the pair looked closer than ever as they cuddled up with big grins on their faces.
Elle also posed with Jack as he gripped onto a drink and the pair smiled for the camera. "Besties," Elle posted alongside the images before adding: "I'm done posting birthday pics now don’t worry." Harriet was among the first to reply, simply telling Elle: "Love u," while Jack typed: "My girl."
But it wasn't just Harriet and Jack who helped Elle celebrate leaving her teens behind. Jack had shared photos from the birthday night out with Paddy Bever, James Craven, and Adam Hussain who play Corrie's Max Turner, Aaron Sandford, and Aadi Alahan. The foursome were captured huddling up for a snap before trying to pose. "The boyz in motion," Jack typed alongside the images.
Harriet, meanwhile, posted a selfie of her and Elle as the twinkling lights of the outdoor bar they were at sparkled in the background. "Celebrating @ellejmulvaney - love you," the actress commented.
