Tyrone Dobbs has bit his tongue as ex Fiz Stape prepares to marry her new boyfriend. However, he doesn't look to thrilled when he attends the wedding in upcoming Coronation Street scenes. Alan Halsall, who has played the character for 24 years, has been spotted filming Fiz and Phill Whittaker's nuptials alongside several of his co-stars.
He could be seen looking less than impressed as he spoke to his former partner as future husband Phill, played by Jamie Kenna and his mother Mimi, played by Margot Leicester, watched on.
Other snaps showed mechanic Tyrone, donning a dark blue suit, looking glum as Fiz waited to head inside to say 'I do' alongside Maria Windass. The newly-elected councillor, played by Samia Longchambon, appeared to be Fiz's bridesmaid for the big day, looking stunning in a purple dress with a frilled neckline and thigh-high split.

Alan, 38, was also spotted donning a pair of dark shades and drinking a bottle of water in between takes. His on-screen grandmother Evelyn Plummer, played by the iconic Dame Maureen Lipman, was also in attendance and looked worlds away from the cobbles as the cast ditched Weatherfield for a fancy wedding venue in Cheshire.
The actress was snapped walking around outside Colshaw Hall dressed to impress in a green and white patterned skirt with a matching buttoned jacket over a white shirt. Her silver locks had been pinned into a classic wedding style with a black fascinator added to complete the look.
But it wouldn't be a surprise if Tyrone was upset on the day as it's not long since he revealed his feelings for Fiz, despite breaking her heart last year. The mechanic ended up developing feelings for the couple's then-lodger Alina Pop.
He then had to tell Fiz that he had been cheating on her with the beautician, flooring the Underworld machinist who had been getting ready to plan their very own Greek wedding after being engaged for years.
Tyrone walked out on Fiz and their girls, Hope and Ruby, and soon beautician Alina fell pregnant with his child. However, in sad scenes, Alina suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage following a fire at their flat started by troublemaker Hope who became jealous of Tyrone starting a new family.
But Alina was soon left devastated when she realised the mechanic still had feelings for his ex and that they shared a kiss as they came together to get help for their daughter. Devastated by his portrayal, Alina left to return to her family in Romania after dropping a final bombshell that she was pregnant again.
However, after leaving Weatherfield she told him she had made a mistake and that she wasn't pregnant after all. When Tyrone chased after her to her hotel she told him she had her dates mixed up and she wasn't expecting.. But there was a twist at the airport when Alina turned down the wine list at the airport and ordered a soft drink before softly placing her hand on her stomach, indicating she was pregnant.
It has since become evident that Tyron is still harbouring feelings for his ex, despite what he did but Fiz can't move past how he treated her and is ploughing on with her romance with Phill. Alan, meanwhile, reckons that Fiz should be with Tyrone due to their ‘history’.
"I think the one thing that Coronation Street has – above all other shows as far as I’m concerned – is history," the Walkden actor previously told the Manchester Evening News. "Tyrone and Fiz have an unbelievable history, they’ve got years together, they’ve been through so many things together.
"Of course there have been speed bumps along the way and most of those have been down to Tyrone and been his fault, but certainly this time I think he recognises what he’s done, what he’s lost. He recognises that Fiz is his soulmate and I think he’s praying that she chooses him."
But fans will have to wait to see whether Phill and Fiz get down the aisle without Tyrone confessing his true feelings.
