Richard Fleeshman has paid tribute to his amazing Brookside mum.
The 33-year-old shot to stardom with his portrayal of Craig Harris on Coronation Street. The actor was just 12-years-old when he joined the cast of the ITV show in 2002.
His performance as the troubled teenager was a hit with fans as he was a mainstay on the Cobbles until 2006. Richard exited Weatherfield at the age of 16 to pursue his dreams of becoming a West-End star and he has since enjoyed a successful career in showbiz.

He appeared on today's edition of Loose Women to talk about his new sci fi show, The Ark. Richard was interviewed by panelists Kaye Adams, Kelle Bryan, Linda Robson and Jane Moore on Thursday's edition of the popular ITV programme.
Richard hails from a talented family as his mum, Sue Jenkins, is renowned for her role as Jackie Corkhill in Brookside. Fans have rejoiced after the iconic Merseyside set soap has returned to our screens on STV Player.
Richard admitted he only found out about the exciting news yesterday as he issues a tribute to his inspirational mum. He said: "She was amazing in that show. I was allowed to watch certain episodes growing up. Some of them were a little bit past my bedtime. It was an amazing show and such a great following."
Richard's dad is David Fleeshman, who appeared in Boys From The Blackstuff and he credited his parents for inspiring his successful career. He said: "I grew up with both of them being around the industry fully so it was just everything I knew."
