Coronation Street star Millie Gibson gave a glimpse of the aftermath of celebrating her recent award win. The 17-year-old actress, who plays the ITV soap's Kelly Neelan, picked up a gong at the British Soap Awards on Saturday (June 11).
The actress has had a big year on the cobbles having been part of the shocking hate crime storyline, inspired by the tragic story of goth Sophie Lancaster who was killed in 2007, which saw Kelly finding herself charged with a murder she didn't commit before being cleared only to end up homeless.
More recently, the character found out about her dad's death days before her mum, Laura Neelan played by Kel Allen, also died after taking the wrap for husband Rick's murder.

So with all that under her belt, it's no surprise the teen soap star took home the prize for Best Young Performer. Millie, from Broadbottom, said that her involvement in the hate crime storyline will stay in her heart as she also credited her castmates, including Corey Brent star Maximus Evans who picked up the award for villain of the year, as they watched on in the audience.
She also didn't forget to thank her family, before quickly shouting out her cousins as she ran out of time and had to leave the stage. And she looked incredible while doing so. Millie, who trained at Oldham Theatre Workshop, channelled Hollywood glamour on the red carpet in a silky white gown with a pop of colour from her red lipstick.
Sharing some snaps to Instagram of her stunning look before the awards as well as a one on the red carpet, Millie wrote: "a blur, but a pleasure feeling incredibly honoured. Thank you :) …" Kel, who played her on-screen mum, was among the first to respond, writing: " Gorgeous babba, I’m so proud of you."
Todd Grimshaw actor Gareth Pierce said: "Congrats, our kid! Brilliant and well deserved." Sally Carman, who missed out on her solo awards for her portrayal of Abi Webster, simply replied: "Lil superstar," while Nicky Wheatley actress Kimberley Hart-Simpson added: "Smashed it."
But things looked very different the day after. Millie took to Instagram with a snap that had ben taken of her alongside Paddy Bever, who was nominated in the newcomer category for his portrayal of Max Turner in Corrie.
Millie's blonde locks were still in curls but she had ditched the makeup and swapped her slinky white dress for a mini blue and green number and added a white cardigan over the top and matching sandals. Meanwhile, Paddy jumped into a grey tracksuit under a navy blue puffer jacket.
He added a pair of dark shades to cover he weary eyes while Millie wrote alongside the snap: "@paddybever think we enjoyed ourselves last night?"
Millie also shared the adorable moment her fellow Corrie stars looked on with pride as she hit the stage to collect her British Soap Award. Maximus, Tanisha Gorey and Adam Hussain, who plays the ITV soap's Alahan twins Asha and Aadi, had smiles on their faces as they looked towards the stage with the moment being caught on TV.
"Think I've found my favourite pic that my cousin took whilst watching..." Millie wrote on her Instagram Story. "The look of love @tanisha.gorey @adam_hussaine + Max."
Coronation Street fans complained on the night after feeling the soap had been 'robbed' during the awards. The hate crime storyline was up for Best Storyline, which was won by Misbah Maalik's historic rape story in Hollyoaks, and it was nominated for Best Single Episode for the flashback scenes when Nina regained her memory of the sickening attack.
The top gong for Best British Soap went to Emmerdale. And The British Soap Awards' first gender-neutral Best Leading Performer award, to replace Best Actress and Best Actor, was scooped by Emmerdale's Paige Sandhu for her terrifying role as serial killer Meena Jutla.
