ITV Coronation Street's Jane Danson supported as she shares 'miscarriage pain'

Coronation Street's Jane Danson was supported as she opened up on her "miscarriage pain".

The soap star is renowned for her role as Leanne Battersby in the ITV show. Away from the screen, Jane is married to actor Robert Beck, who played Fergus Collins in Hollyoaks.

The two tied the knot in 2005 and share two children named Harry and Sam. The 43-year-old has previously opened up how she suffered a miscarriage.

She took to Instagram to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week and said the pain will stay with her "forever". She said: "My three months scan showed there was no heartbeat yet my body continued to be pregnant for some time. It was devastating.

"The worst thing that I did was not talk about what I was going through and somehow it made the heartache even more painful. In time I learnt to talk and express just how broken I felt. With the love of my husband @robertbeck529 and support from my friends and family I began to heal. Sending love to anyone suffering."

Jane's co-stars flooded the comments to issue messages of support after the update.

Georgia Taylor said: "I love you." Nikki Sanderson, Michelle Keegan and Samia Longchambon responded with heart emojis.

Fans also took to the comments with messages of support.

Dawn said: "Thank you for sharing your most emotional experience with us."

Beverley commented : "Sending love to you all Jane."

Frannie added: "So important to talk about. Your words will comfort someone out there this evening"
