Good Morning Britain hosts were taken aback as Nigel Pivaro shared details of his second job.
The Coronation Street actor was interviewed by Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins on Friday's edition of the ITV news programme. The soap star is renowned for his role as Terry Duckworth on the Cobbles.
Nigel has portrayed Jack and Vera Duckworth's son across several stints on Weatherfield from 1983 - 2012. Away from the world of showbiz, Nigel trained as a journalist.

Ben and Charlotte were visibly stunned when Nigel revealed how he was held at gunpoint while reporting on the Ukrainian crisis in 2014. He said: "I started to surreptitiously take pictures of my interpreter, but really try to take pictures of what was going on.
"Straight away, they were onto us and I was up against the wall with a Kalashnikov in the back. My life was saved by the intervention of my Russian speaking interpreter who faced this lunatic down.
"He turned the gun on her and say a lot of awful things. She looked him in the eye and said, 'would you say that to your mother?'"
Nigel still regularly returns to acting and is set to star in a production of hit musical, The Commitments, which tours the UK later this year.
