ITV Coronation Street fans 'work out' Spider twist after Toyah's confession

Coronation Street fans think 'they know' what the next big twist will be.

Avid viewers of the ITV soap have 'worked out' that Spider Nugent's necklace will be the key to what happens next. The character, played by Martin Hancock, listened in horror as Toyah Battersby, played by Georgia Taylor, explained how she killed her now late husband, Imran Habeeb.

She confessed that she deliberately crashed the car she was driving, leading to Imran's death, after finding out that her partner had been lying about his custody battle with Abi.

Imran and Abi had one night of passion leading to her pregnancy with baby Alfie. After he was born a lengthy custody battle ensued in court, with Imran going as far as providing false evidence to the court.

Just days before Toyah confessed to Spider, viewers at home were told that he was actually working as an undercover policeman. Fans noticed at the time of the confession that Spider was wearing a necklace - something that they think could be a key item in Toyah's downfall.

Taking to Twitter, Ox wrote: "Ooo, is Spider's necklace a wire...? Lol #Corrie." Kristina said: "Is Spider’s funky necklace a wire? #Corrie"

Scully said: "I hope Spiders WIRED LOL LOL." Meanwhile, Doreen said: "Spider wired - be bloody hilarious if he picked up Street Cars - 'Pick up at Rovers Return'.”
