ITV Coronation Street fans say they 'didn't need to see it' as they issue plea after Gemma and Chesney scenes

Coronation Street fans have begged 'please' after witnessing some new scenes between Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown. The couple are often seen in the ITV soap trying to juggle their hectic life with their quads as well as Chesney's eldest son, Joseph, while also trying to earn money to keep the family afloat.

But with Gemma setting her sights on tying the knot with Ches, the cash-strapped couple are determined to save as much money as they can. And after staging a protest at Joseph's school, where he got into trouble for using sign language, and helping Michael Bailey look after his daughter, Glory, Gemma has come up with a new money-making plan.

She's decided that she's going to offer BSL-friendly childminding services to people in the local area as a way to make money and also use the skills she’s learning. During Monday night's trip to the cobbles, viewers saw the character, played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, preparing for her new venture.

Meanwhile, Ches had an idea of his own. After being caught by Gemma talking in his sleep about cheese and bacon, the character, played by Sam Aston, presented his wife-to-be with a slap-up meal. He had created his own burger and wanted Gemma to taste-test it with the hope of perfecting his recipe.

He shared how he wanted to get it just right before setting up his own craft burger place. The younger brother of Fiz Stape made it clear he wasn't going to go for his new dream yet while Gemma was pressing ahead with her own new business but he optimistcally shared: "One day!"

However, the scenes of Gemma trying the burger didn't sit well with Corrie fans who flocked to social media to comment. Cathy Harris asked on Facebook: "Did we really have to see Gemma eat and drink???? I don't think so." Cynthia Mcbean then replied: "Why do they keep showing her eating and talking with her mouth full, and always shouting."

Christine Kirby pleaded: "Please please don't show anymore scenes with Gemma eating." @Carol44698330 tweeted: "Gemma eating a burger has traumatized me forever #corrie." @penniless_poet posted: "Nooooooooo! Scenes of distress - Gemma eating! #corrie." @KatMarBax said: "Why do we need to see Gemma eating #Corrie." @lucypcat added: "Please, not Gemma eating. #corrie."
