Coronation Street fans have demanded 'don't even think about it' as they saw the latest stage in Roy Cropper's health scare. Earlier this week in the ITV soap, concerns were sparked for Weatherfield's legendary resident when he was seen pulling out of his Salsa class with pal Evelyn Plummer.
He didn't give her much of an explanation, leaving his friend annoyed at his sudden disappearance. She later thought he had been reminded of his dancing days with his late wife Hayley. She asked Roy, made famous by actor David Neilson, outright why he had left, and said she understood that he had left because dancing with her was "somehow disrespectful to Hayley's memory".
But the cafe owner shut her down but at the end of the episode, Roy was seen with his new pet pooch Freddie, who he has taken in following the sudden death of his friend and Freddie's owner. Speaking to the pooch, Roy rubbed his chest and appeared to be struggling to breathe, leading to Corrie fans flocking to social media to plea for the much-loved character to be kept safe.

And during Wednesday night's edition of the ITV soap, Roy was seen at his doctor's appointment. “Your blood pressure is quite high,” Dr Gaddas told him leading Roy to ask: "Is the high blood pressure connected to the funny turns, doctor?” Roy asked.
But Dr Gaddas told him it was unlikely. "I’ve been experiencing it for several weeks and initially it was just mild discomfort," the beloved character told her. "I am accustomed to aches and pains and creaking joints. I have been somewhat alarmed, I have a niece to think of you see.
"The breathlessness was unprecedented which is why I resolved to make this appointment." Dr Gaddas tried to reassure him but said she would send him for tests just to be on the safe said. Later, Roy went to Evelyn to confide in her and ask her to dog sit Freddie. She was initially reserved with her pal until he explained why. She refused to dog sit and made it very clear that she would be going to the hospital to support him.
But with the latest update, Corrie fans are worried for Roy and have issued a clear plea to soap bosses. @kay__tweets tweeted: "DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT KILLING OFF OUR ROY!!! #Corrie." @DavidMackayy said: "#Corrie cannot kill Roy off, hearts will break, people will suffer, days of mourning will be had."
@DionPetrie posted: "They better not kill Roy off #Corrie." @Rachel_Coombs commented: "If they kill Roy off, that will be the end of me #corrie." @BallumsHouse echoed: "They better not be killing off Roy #Corrie." @Momrocks50 added: "Please make Roy better praying it's just the dog allergy as can cause the symptoms he has #corrie."
It comes after viewers thought they had already worked out what his issue is. @suzicarrigan said: "Roy will be allergic to Freddie, so Evelyn will end up with him #Corrie." @PatHeggie commented: "Poor Roy is allergic to Freddie #corrie." @Momrocks50 tweeted: "Roy oh dear is he allergic to the dog not looking good #corrie."
Meanwhile, fans are also wondering if Roy and Evelyn's friendship could lead to more. @SHED8888 said: "PLEASE #corrie……..make Roy & Evelyn a couple!" @RyanTheSoapking said: "I love Roy and Evelyn together #Corrie." @MissFee85 shared: "Evelyn and Roy would make a sweet couple tbf #Corrie." @OwlinFlight added: "Evelyn and Roy belong together. #Corrie."
