It was back to the cobbles on Wednesday night for another hour-long check-in to see what's happening with the street's most famous residents.
And it was all about Abi Webster as she continued on a downward spiral after giving birth to a surprise baby earlier this week in Coronation Street.
The mechanic didn't know she was expecting and went into labour following a drug and booze bender with her drug dealer pal, Dean. But not only that, the premature baby started to make his arrival at the side of a country lane after Abi jumped into the car Dean had stolen from Kevin Webster's garage.
Eventually, Abi made it to the hospital where she gave birth at six months to a little boy who also happened to be born on her late son Seb's 21st birthday.
But unable to cope with what had happened, Abi did a runner and headed back to drown her sorrows on the cobbles while the hospital planned to launch an appeal.
During Wednesday night's trip to Weatherfield, viewers saw Abi left trapped in a garage by Dean after she tried to set him up with another stolen car in a bid to make amends with Kevin and colleague Tyrone Dobbs.
After catching her on the phone to the police, Dean locked Abi in a garage in the middle of nowhere and she ended up using the car Dean stole from her estranged husband Kevin's garage to break free before crashing into a skip and being left unconscious at the wheel.
Luckily the police found her thanks to her earlier phone call to them and Abi was then rushed to hospital as Toyah Battersby rang her mobile to be told by the police that she had been involved in an accident.
Toyah then arrived at the hospital desperate to help her neighbour when she asked a member of the staff where Abi was and how she was doing. "I believe she's in surgery right now. She has retained placenta fragments and the beginnings of septicaemia," he told her, leaving Toyah stunned.
"Sorry, rewind, Abi's had a baby?" she replied before nurse Aggie Bailey arrived and scolded her colleague who had told her too much.
And Corrie fans were quick to point it out too.
@Jennygr55921272 tweeted: "Bloody hell patient confidentiality at Weathy general is sooo bad. And Aggie popping up everywhere in the hospital what is going on #Corrie."
"Hospitals give out information to anyone now so they? Funny that Aggie happened to mysteriously appear! #corrie," @jamie_pragnell commented.
@DavidMackayy shared: "These doctors have no patient confidentiality at all, blurting out that she’s had a baby #corrie."
"No such thing as patient/doctor confidentiality in #Corrie is there," @AlexClayton_20 said.
Pointing out Aggie's hypocrisy, @moore95_pamela added: "Aggie, you discuss everyone with every Tom, Dick and Ed. The doctor's caught the blabbing bug #Corrie."
But at this point viewers were already reeling at how Aggie was able to figure out Abi was the mother who abandoned her premature baby.
Aggie paid Abi a visit at No.13 and noticed she was looking worse for wear but as she went to leave, she spotted Abi's red hoodie on the sofa which is one of the details the hospital was giving out to track her down.
@theleighmilne tweeted: "Tonight I learned that there's only one red hoodie in the whole of Manchester #Corrie @itvcorrie #AggieColumbo."
"#Corrie OMG I have a red hoodie .... thank goodness I don't live in Manchester ! It aint my baby , I aint your mother Alfie ! @itvcorrie #coronationstreet," @NannyBobbins joked.
@MsNottledim suggested: "Bit of a leap. There’s more than one red hoodie in weatherfield int there? #Corrie."
"Aggie guessing that Abi was the missing mother just from the red hoodie when she didn’t even look pregnant is just ridiculous #corrie," @MeeshyJay added.
