Nicky Wheatley has watched her fresh start crumble around her as her sex worker past comes back to haunt her in Coronation Street. The character, played by Kimberly Hart-Simpson, returned to Weatherfield this year as she applied for a job as a teaching assistant at Weatherfield High.
Finding out Daniel Osbourne works there, the pair have re-struck up their friendship - much to the annoyance of Daniel's girlfriend, Daisy Midgley. However, just as things started to look up for Nicky with her new job and being able to find a new home for her and her daughter, it all started to fall back apart again.
It came last week in the ITV soap as Max Turner overheard Daniel and Daisy rowing in the street about his relationship with Nicky, discovering her past work and the fact Daniel paid her to wear his deceased wife's clothes after he struggled as a single dad when Sinead Tinker died in 2019.

Taking what he heard back home, Max did some digging and leaked video and pictures of Nicky as a sex worker, leading to her being hauled into Mrs Crawshaw's office and ultimately losing her job. Then on Monday, things only got worse as viewers saw Nicky find out the Gazette is publishing an article about her.
She was, quite obviously, freaking out about her family discovering what she did for work and at one point was seen upset and deep in thought in Victoria Garden when she was spotted by Daisy being spoken to by Max. After sticking up for her against the teen, Nicky apologised to the barmaid over Daniel accusing her of leaking the pictures and videos.
While Daisy was clearly hurt, and not Nicky's biggest fan, she did offer her a drink which she politely declined. However, during the scenes, Corrie viewers were completely distracted by a changing detail.
@CarolineTuckley tweeted: "@itvcorrie why did Nicky change colour lipstick between the communal gardens and Daniels flat?"
"Why does Nicki's lipstick change from pink to blood red then back again on the same day?" @ARCHIEHENDRY asked to which @Triplec55 replied: "Thank goodness, I thought it was just me. I started to worry that my eyes were going! And why she has it way past her lips is beyond me, that look doesn’t fool anyone."
@FionaAnnBennett said: "@itvcorrie Nikkie had red lipstick on in Victoria Gardens but pale pink for the rest of tonight's episode.
"Corrie needs to sort continuity. One minute Nicky is wearing bright red lipstick. The next minute light pink then back to bright red lol @itvcorrie," @suebaggy added.
Corrie viewers were also asking another age-old question what it comes to the soap - how big our the homes? With Nicky no longer able to pay for the house she had found for her and daughter Maisie, Daniel offered her a place to stay at his flat which he shares with Paul Foreman.
@UndecidedMs commented: "Another ever expanding soap flat that can sleep 3 adults 2 children but it only has 2 doors off the lounge/kitchen and one has to be a bathroom right? #Corrie."
"All the houses and flats like the T.A.R.D.I.S on that street? Where the hell in Nicky and her daughter gonna sleep, and Paul is there aswell. #Corrie," @DavidJosephLaw2 echoed.
@iluvbatfink tweeted: "Where exactly will whatsherfaces's stuff fit in that tiny flat, let alone her and her child! Ridiculous! #Corrie."
"#corrie just how big is Daniel's flat?? It obviously has the same elastic walls as the Barlow home," @Yorvik187 shared.
And that wasn't the thing eagle-eyed viewers spotted as they spotted a continuity error during Eileen Grimshaw's scenes with Sean Tully and George Shuttlewroth as she and her lodger tried to find out what her boyfriend was hiding by visiting his home.
@arnott10 commented: "Must have taken days to film Eileen and Sean at George’s house. She arrived wearing white trainers and left wearing black boots #Corrie."
