ITV Coronation Street fans ask 'why' over Daisy scenes as they predict when Justin will return and say it's 'not the end'

Coronation Street fans had one word in common as they shared their reactions to the latest twist in Daisy Midgeley's stalker storyline - and that was 'why'. Viewers of the ITV soap have been left horrified to see the Rovers Return barmaid unable to put a stop to Justin Rutherford's obsession with her.

Daisy, played by Charlotte Jordan, has been dealing with Justin's constant messages and appearances on the street for weeks after they first met in the hospital in December while she waited for her test results following a cancer scare. But her efforts to get help from the police as Justin's constant harassment ramped up has so far fallen on deaf ears. There was some hope last week, however, after she applied for a Stalking Protection Order (SPO), despite them being notoriously difficult to obtain.

Thinking she had enough evidence to prove Justin needed stopping, she headed to the court. However, her fiance Daniel Osbourne was keeping a pretty big detail from her about his confrontation with Justin the previous evening.

In scenes aired on Corrie last week, Daniel headed to the pub, leaving Daisy with his niece Amy Barlow after his influencer wife-to-be was left terrified when Justin made his way into their home when she was alone. But teacher Daniel was furious to find Justin still lurking around. Asking his half-brother Peter to "hold his chips" he stormed over to Justin.

Peter was also taking no-nonsense as he pulled Justin aside and the pair had it out with the creep. But Daniel was really seeing red when Justin remarked that Daisy would be better off with cancer than engaged to him. The next day, Daisy read out her statement in court seemingly believing Justin was a no-show.

But he ended up showing up late, and in a neck brace, telling the judge he had been in hospital after he was attacked by Daniel. Daisy has since blamed Daniel for her losing her only chance to stop Justin. Then in scenes aired on Monday night (March 13), as Justin returned to the street to confront Daisy, which she live-streamed on social media, she was given a shock.

Justin's sister arrived at the Rovers and warned Daisy to be careful as this isn't the first time Justin has become obsessed with someone. Daisy asked: "He's done this to someone else?" to which Karen, who was emotional over the loss of their mum, replied "and worse. When he gets obsessed with someone like this he's dangerous."

Karen then told Daisy about another girl to who Justin had become attached, saying: "He started following around the younger sister of one of my mates. Apparently they never actually went out, but he always made out like they were... sending her presents, hanging around her house. They had a massive argument in the park and she ended up with a black eye."

Daisy then decided to take matters into her own hands, meeting with Justin before deliberately provoking him, knowing that PC Craig Tinker was watching on his way with Daniel and he was able to quickly arrest the stalker for assulat after he launched at Daisy, referring to her as a 'b***h'.

However, viewers were left confused as to why Justin's sister didn't just go straight to the police with Daisy to back up her claims against Justin. @MichZiff tweeted: "Well why doesn’t Justin’s sister go to the police with Daisy instead of telling her to ‘be careful as the psycho is dangerous’ What are you waiting for girls because this storyline needs to end super quick. #Corrie."

It would be better telling the police. #corrie #coronationstreet.2 @itzzzo_ commented: "Wouldn't it help Daisy's case against Justin if his sister goes to the police and tells them all this? #Corrie." @mikepriestley13 added: "Justin’s sister needs to go to the police with daisy and explain exactly what she’s just said to her #Corrie."

Meanwhile, other viewers think they know when Justin will return and are worried for Daisy. Sharing a clip of Justin's arrest on social media, Corrie asked: "Could this be the end for Justin?" But @dec_fi replied: "I'm afraid I don't think Justin is going to give up that easy."

@alliyya_haneefa said: "It's not the end." @shell_boudin1986xox wrote: "No, we know he turns up at the wedding." @ytm2033 commented: "I bet he returns at Daisy's wedding." @jermaine.t23 added: "Ngl I feel Justin will not give up without a fight."
