ITV Coronation Street fans ask for storyline to 'stop' as 'sickening' character Grace returns

Coronation Street fans have been quick to let their feelings known as Grace Vickers made a return to Weatherfield.

Viewers of the ITV soap were horrified last year when they saw Michael Bailey's ex hand over their daughter, Glory, to Aggie and Ed - for £20,000.

Grace gave Aggie an ultimatum when she confronted her over her actions after Bernie Winter told Aggie that Grace had left baby Glory home alone in order to go out for a drink at the street's Christmas market.

Aggie told Grace she wanted to call social services, but Grace threatened to up and leave with Glory so the couple decided to take drastic action and viewers saw Grace sign over her daughter to her dad.

It came months after Grace began blackmailing Aggie and Ed, with her ordering they let her live in their house rent-free and do repairs for no pay.

And during Monday night's hour-long trip to Weatherfield, Grace was back and so were her huge demands for Aggie and Ed.

She returned to the cobbles for Glory's first birthday after Michael had been making attempts to track her down for his daughter's sake but it soon becomes clear she's back for more money - not her little girl.

While Michael is delighted to see his ex back to play happy families, Aggie and Ed were left distressed as a smirking Grace told them she wanted £10,000 as she wanted to set up her own business.

With Ed initially declining her request, Grace threatened to tell Michael the truth and even put on the waterworks to show him exactly how she'll convince their son that she was forced to sell their daughter.

By the end of the episode, Ed had agreed to give Grace what she wanted but that they needed more time to get the money together.

But Corrie fans were left disgusted by the latest scenes and furious over Grace's return

@krankenwagen_ asked: "Whose idea was it to bring back the awful Grace? #Corrie."

"Never thought it was possible but Grace is even more vile and annoying than the last time she was on the show. Who thought it was a good idea to bring her back #Corrie," @mrsjhutch28 fumed.

Grace's blackmail started again (ITV)

@Andi000211 commented: "Grace possibly the vilest women ever to be in #Corrie. She's sickening."

"As if they actually brought Grace back, what a joke #corrie," @_ellielou97 added.

And they were also saying that they wanted the storyline to 'stop' as they're arguing over an 'invisible' child.

@TheRealDeclanK1 said: "Haven’t they done this Grace storyline to death now. #Corrie."

"STOP this Grace storyline NOW I'm losing the will #Corrie," @bevshen tweeted.

@GOMDT1981 wrote: "#Corrie could bring in the invisible Bailey daughter with a new storyline but no bring back Grace to repeat the same storyline that no one gave a shit about in the first place."

"Where is Glory? Grace is blackmailing the Baileys over an invisible child #Corrie," @ElaineWharton1 shared.
