Coronation Street star Elle Mulvaney appeared ready for the winter frost as she ditched Manchester for a change of scenery. The actress headed to Edinburgh over the weekend where she took in the sights and, of course, paid a visit to the Christmas markets ahead of the festive season.
Elle, who is famed for playing Amy Barlow in the ITV soap, shared a string of snaps to Instagram from her trip, including one of herself unready for the picture but looking gorgeous anyway.
The 21-year-old could be seen donning a cream jacket, featuring wonderfully large pockets, and matching trousers. She donned a beanie hat in the same colour and even her trainers matched the vibe.
"I was unbuttoning my coat that’s why I’m stood weird," she explained in the caption before adding: "Edinburgh is cool tho," alongside some more snaps. Corrie co-star Harriet Bibby was quick to comment and made reference to Elle's attire. She wrote: " Cream queen," alongside a clapping emoji.
And fans were also quick to compliment Ellie, particularly on her blonde locks which just appeared from beneath her hat. @mr_marwood said: "OMG You are stunning!" @audrey.doyle.1804 commented: "Love the hair." @lesleywagner replied: "So pretty."
@weni_49 posted: "Lovely attire you have on." @smide63159 shared: "The hair colour. Luv it." @stew_arte added: "I love your hair colour."
Elle's trip comes after she opened up about being 'lonely'. The soap star shared a picture of herself which she had previously shared but this time in black and white. A second image showed her with her Corrie co-stars Harriet, James Craven and Jack James Ryan.
Alongside the images, Elle shared how she was supporting Good Morning Britain's 1 Million Minutes campaign. The ITV news programme relaunched its award-winning social purpose campaign this month.
It aims to help eradicate loneliness across the UK. A brand new advert and short film aimed at highlighting the pandemic of loneliness has already been released and the 1 Million Minutes Awards have also returned and each week in December the ITV daytime show will be surprising deserving loneliness heroes around the country.
"#1MillionMinutes @gmb I’m posting for the 1 Million Minutes campaign against loneliness for the 7th year this year," Elle typed alongside her post. We all get lonely - and although recognising that it’s hard, it’s important to remember there are always people around to help.
"For me, my family and friends have always been my support network whenever I have felt lonely or low. I will forever be grateful for them."
James, who plays Aaron Sandford in Corrie, was among the first to respond to Elle's post, writing: "Very grateful for you." Summer Spellman actress Harriet simply replied: "Love you sis." While Jack, who stars in the ITV soap as Elle's on-screen boyfriend Jacob Hay, added: "You’ve genuinely been my absolute rock this past year. So much love."
