Beverley Callard has been a Corrie icon for decades.
After making her TV debut on Emmerdale as Angie Richards in 1983, she first joined the Cobbles as June Dewhurst in 1984.
June was a friend of Gail and Brian Tilsley's.

In 1989, she returned to the long-running ITV soap as the feisty Liz McDonald.
Over the years, her character has been kidnapped, harassed and abused, while her on-again-off-again romance with Jim has been at the centre of many epic storylines.
After announcing she was leaving Weatherfield for good in 2019, Beverley took part in 2020's I'm A Celebrity... which took part in the Welsh castle for the first time that year.
During breaks from Corrie, she has also appeared in shows such as Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and The Peter Principle.
Acting, it appears, is in Beverley's blood, as her daughter shares her talents.
Many soap fans may recognise Rebecca Callard from her stint on Coronation Street in 2011.
Rebecca played Ruth Walsh, an inmate who befriended Fiz Stape at Norcross Prison.
Fiz had been jailed over three murders, which were actually carried out by her serial killer husband John Stape.
Ruth and Fiz met in the mother and baby unit, but tensions quickly arose when Fiz discovered Ruth was using her baby to smuggle drugs.
Later scenes saw Ruth attack Fiz.
Rebecca has also starred in shows such as Ordinary Lies, The Detectorists and Peak Practice.
Beverley shares Rebecca with her first husband Paul Atkinson, though the pair divorced in 1978.
Since then she has remarried three times, and remains loved up with husband Jon McEwan.
The 64-year-old regularly shares photos of the two of them together on dates and holidays on her Instagram page.
