ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers stunned by shock act and say 'Rick Stein can really rock out'

Fans of Britain's Got Talent were left stunned after a 'Rick Stein lookalike' impressed the judges with his guitar performance. Kenny Petrie, 64, showcased his "rockstar" talents during last night's episodes, with some viewers commenting on his resemblance to 75-year-old celebrity chef Rick.

"I didn't know Rick Stein was a rock guitarist," joked one fan on Twitter earlier this evening. Another tweeted similarly, asking: "Why is Rick Stein playing guitar on #BGT?"

Mirror Online reports that one viewer tweeted: "Rick Stein can really rock out on guitar." A fourth said: "Rick Stein's pretty good on the strings!" Another said Kenny is the "Rick Stein of rock".

Others were also impressed by his performance. "Kenny came alive when he started to play and wow can he play that guitar," wrote one viewer on Twitter. Another called him a 'rockstar'.

Judge David Walliams, 50, referred to him as a "rock god" after his performance. He said: "Obviously unexpected because you seen sort of a mild mannered guy. I mean sorry, I didn't think 'oh here comes a rock god.'"

The winner of this year's series will receive £250,000 and a coveted spot on the Royal Variety Performance line-up to entertain the Queen. An unusual act also took the stage last night, which the audience has now branded as their 'favourite to win.'

A family of puppets, called The Handersons, impressed the judges and the London Palladium with their rendition of a song crafted for their 'nana'. Meanwhile, a busker left the judges stunned after performing the classic operatic song Caruso.
