ITV bosses said to be planning 'This Morning bloodbath' with more than one facing axe

This Morning are said to be planning a huge shakeup for the ITV show with Phillip Schofield reportedly facing the axe.

Phil, 61, has co-hosted the popular day time show since 2002 however, recent reports of an apparent 'feud' with Holly Willoughby as their friendship is said to have "cooled" has sparked rumours that it could be the end of their time on the show together, writes The Mirror.

The pair are are said to be "barely speaking" after many issues have come to light for them including backlash over false 'queuegate' claims and Holly's reported upset after being left "in the dark" over Phillip's brother's sex abuse trial.

As the rumours continued, Phillip released a statement where he revealed that things haven't "been easy" for the pair – which is said to have "blindsided" and "deeply upset" Holly.

This week it was business as usual and the duo presented This Morning together, but many viewers pointed out the "awkward" atmosphere between them.

A source recently told the Mirror: "Phil’s position is looking increasingly precarious. Monday is very much D-day, but the same could apply to any day next week. No one is bigger than the brand."

It has been reported that if the chemistry between him and Holly is lost, Phillip is facing the axe.

This Morning boss Martin Frizell, who has been in charge since 2016, is also reportedly facing the end of the road on the show.
