One of the stars of ITV 's Beat The Chasers star has waded into an online row which saw viewers blast his co-host for making a 'disgusting ' remark. Mark Labbett, AKA The Beast, took to social media to defend Jenny Ryan after she was heard to call the show's contestant "greedy."
The hopeful called Josh had been taking his time as he tried to decide between the various offers on the table from the Chasers. The game works by the players choosing whether to go up against two, three, four, or five Chasers with their potential jackpot getting higher each time.
But if they get all their cash builder questions right, they get the chance to play for a Super Offer which involves all six Chasers. But after confident Josh went for a higher amount Jenny (who's known on the quiz programme as The Vixen) warned him that his decision was "classic greed."

And, as Yorkshire Live reports, viewers weren't impressed at all. @GemmaMessina tweeted: "I didn’t like Vixen's undeserved comment about one of the contestants.
"It was an unfair & inappropriate comment towards a person who was nothing but nice and sincere." While @Bufferb2012 added: "Omg, I'm not sure it's up to or appropriate 4 a chaser 2 call a contestant greedy - that's disgusting of Jenny Ryan."
@di2409 also called her "rude" to have said it. All of which prompted Labbett to act.
Countering the onslaught of complaints, he posted, "Jenny called it right, went too high, then crashed and burned. It’s unscripted TV - bit harsh."
Beat the Chasers is The Chase's prime time spin-off and also features regulars like Paul Sinha, Shaun Wallace, and Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis.
They're also joined by Australian chaser Issa 'Supernerd' Schultz for the string of episodes - he stepped in for Anne Hegerty, known as The Governess, after she contracted Covid before filming started.
