The two girls who were targeted in an ugly brawl involving as many as 30 teenagers have been inundated with offers of psychological support and self-defence training after their ordeal.
The 14 and 15-year-olds were treated by paramedics after they were set upon in Pacific Street, Newcastle, on Sunday afternoon.
