Drivers will have restricted access on the Amalfi Coast this summer, which will have a big impact on tourists visiting the area. According to Euronews, the 35km stretch of road will only let drivers on it on alternate days.
Anas, the authority that manages the roads, says the measures are being enforced to help ease congestion. They mean that cars with registration plates ending in an odd number can drive along the coast on odd-numbered days; even numbers will be allowed on even-numbered days.
Additionally, caravans and vehicles with trailers will only be able to use the road between midnight and 6.30am. And finally, all vehicles over 10.36m long are prohibited altogether.

The regulations apply from 10am to 6pm on weekdays from mid-June through the end of September 2022. Public buses, taxis, and residents of the 13 towns along the stretch are exempt.
The move will affect anyone travelling to the area this summer for their holidays.
