Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone is relaxed about his future amid Liverpool interest.
The Reds highlighted the France U21 international as a player of interest as they formed their midfield shortlist this summer. Kone featured alongside the likes of Khephren Thuram, Ryan Gravenberch and Gabri Veiga who have all been linked with Anfield moves this summer.
After the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, interest in the Bundesliga prospect cooled as the Reds mull over whether to make further acquisitions in the department. Question marks were raised further when Kone limped out of France's U21 European Championships in Georgia and Romania last month.
Following scans, it had emerged that the midfielder had suffered a knee injury and reports this week claim he is out for around six weeks.

Despite his setback, the 22-year-old has been in good spirits ahead of Gladbach's return to pre-season. Kone has been in his native France where he held a tournament in his childhood city of Villenueve-la-Garenne.
With the competition set up for the local community, the question of his future came into the conversation. In an interview with L'Equipe, he said: "In my head it's chill, it's easy, it's quiet, it's soft, it thinks of nothing, everything is fine.
"The more you think about it, the more you stress. Afterwards you sleep less... I sleep well, there, dreaming of everything and nothing. It will happen what will happen. It's not at 22 that I'm going to cry."
In the French media, the consensus is that their youngster's future is away from Die Fohlen. With speculation swirling Kone continued, discussing his demands which could sway his preference for clubs.
He continued: "To seduce me, you have to tell me that I will continue to progress.
"Well, I'm not a sports director! I'm not really someone who will look at the city, tell me "ah that's good"... If I like it, that I feel that I'm going to pass a course, I go for it.
"The stories, the rest, I know it's important but I'll see later! At worst, I'll come back here to play with the veterans when I'm 45 and it will be fine."
